Paper Wrestling, joyously

The best thing about this project is getting the work in the mail.

Guylaine's book turned up today in my postbox, and I could hardly get back to my studio before opening the package.

Gorgeous! I love the paper samples, and the BEST BIT OF ALL is having permission to not only handle the piece, but to CRUSH THE PAGES. Oh, so satisfying.

I'm sorry, my camera just isn't going to do it justice, so all I can say is

THAT WAS SO MUCH FUN. Thanks!

I'm happy that you like the book.
I always use leftover material for my books. paper I find here and there. and this book was not different. everything look fine at the beginning…

last week, I prepare my book to send it to a bookseller. I just discover all those little strange spots in the center spread on the «paper wrestling» side. I have no idea what it could be. the pages are laser print, so I don't know if it’s the printer, the rubber base ink use for the cover or just the paper… I make some tests in the moment.

I'm really sorry. I guess it's a part of my working process to have surprise like that when working with unknown material…
when I will discover what it is, I will let you know !

I'm delighted with my copy; if it has some extra spots then that's just fine. I like the crumpled paper and the design - thank you so much Guylaine.

Guylaine, I've just received my copy (and Claire's copy!) today and it's lovely! I can't see anything wrong with it, and I am so impressed with the design and the thought that has gone into it... I just need to be brave and crumple up the paper some more! Thank you, Sara x

I, too, have my copy. I had to have a bit of a scrumple straight away, didn't I!

I love the sample pages that give a clue to the behaviour of different papers. Merci beaucoup, Guylaine.
