DO YOU CALL YOURSELF A BOOK MAKER?

The nights are becoming longer, the mornings (well, the 5 o'clock bits of them!) are a little chillier.

What does this mean, for me?

It means that the light is not yet good enough to do close paperwork, like drawing, assembling books or ironing the bale of laundry!

I can, however, manage a quick trawl through my blog reader, fresh espresso to fuel me. And this morning, this interesting post popped up. I'm sure everyone in BAO has rolled her eyes at the craft-y confusion. I am still hesitant to describe what I do as "book making."

And, onto "the" book. Here is a little teaser. I'll say no more as you should (Austpost cooperating) have your copies next week. With the Easter holiday in there, some may not arrive til later. (I'm thinking mainly of Angela in this case.)

And, if you missed it over at Idle Thoughts...

Where else would two artistic girls meet but at an exhibition! It was wonderful to finally "fit the person to the emails." And, Carol, I'm counting on you to have more/better pictures!

Now, daylight's improving...

HP B9180 - Printer Fun & Games

Just an update on the progress (or not) of my book. I've finished all the content and its already for printing. I've managed to print it off (below) on Somerset Book paper which is really gorgeous. However, I am printing double sided and have had a few problems with alignment. It was while I was carrying out some experiments on cheaper paper to get the alignment right, that I had the result above. I can't totally blame the printer for this, it was pretty rubbish paper and I was printing through the speciality media tray so it didn't like it too much.

I've also recently upgraded to Mac OS 10.6 and no longer have the full features in my print drivers (and every time it prints it tells me all the print heads are missing!). I don't want to bore you all with the tech stuff, but just thought I'd give an update on my progress.
