Antarctica

This has very little to do with books, apart from the fact that the maker is a wonderful bookmaker -- but it's a journey of process culminating in a wonderful piece of art called My Antarctica, made from felted-down blanket. Check it out!

Am very inspired by Melior's Open Studio day. Could be a fun thing to do next year.

Unlike Antarctica, this look warm and soft!

I've been following the story of 'my antarctica' too (I haven't caught the 'open studio' tale however.... and given one of my VERY BIG PLANS for next year (more about this will follow in the fullness of time...) - it was a most encouraging read...

New studio, eh Ronnie?

Yes it's beautiful work, isn't it? Maybe we should get together Ronnie and discuss studio set-ups. Mind you, I imagine yours to be in a giant barn, while mine has to be super-efficiently organised in the third bedroom.

I'm a follower of Meliors too and have a couple of her works, but nothing so sumptuous as My Antarctica. I really like the way she researches all her subjects - her work has great integrity.
