First Book

I just got Sara's book in the post. It was so exciting. I have been expecting some other books I ordered for work and i thought Judy (our mail lady) was deliverying one of them, so when i carried the box inside and saw Sara's name under the dangerous goods declaration, I had this wonderful surge of anticipation run through my body. The first book! (I know that sounds cheesy but it's true)

And it is beautiful!!! Such a thoughtful and  original response to the poem.  I love it.  Thankyou Sara. I am going straight to the studio, but please don't expect mine too soon. Cheers Jane.

After seeing Ida's post last night I was on the look-out for our parcel man this morning and yay!! mine is here too!
It is indeed beautiful, although I'm slightly terrified of mistakenly unraveling it and never being able to get it back again! I find these flexa-hexa-tetra-whatsanames mystifying in the extreme.

I agree Amanda, mine is definitely just for looking.

great to hear that you've got your books, but PLEASE play with them! At first they might be a bit stiff to turn but as you use them the folds settle in and they get easier... of course if you use them too much they start to disintegrate along the folds but it takes a lot of effort to get to that point! Very glad you like them, Sara x

It's absolutely bucketing down here so I'm leaping up every time I here a vehicle! If it's coming per Post Office courier, she'll bring it up to the front verandah, but if coming per postie...well, he's been known to leave things on top of the wall cos he's too lazy to get off his bike!
I do hope some rain is making its way to the south coast.

Just after I posted the comment above, two things happened...the rain stopped and the postie delivered THE BOOK.
Isn't it lovely?
Hang on, Angela, it wont be much longer, I'm sure!

Got mine today! It arrived (on the 12th Jan.) while I was in Ireland.

It is beautiful and so well made. I've only made one book box and realise how difficult they are.

Thanks so much Sara, beautiful work.
