Yay! A great banner! Thanks, Ronnie. I am feeling very good about this project...ideas have been swirling, percolating, colliding since I threw my hat in.Of course, I have yet to settle on something. All I can say is that it will, perforce, be a "simplistic binding" as I am not a classical binder and the time for such work would be pretty tight. (Oh, yeah...I'm also still working on a book of my own stuff, plus some prints for exhibition and let's not forget the dust bunnies...you can't rush some things!)But it's lovely to see (some of ...hint!)you popping up on the blog.I try to keep my email off my blog, but if you want to contact me that way, Carol and Sara have my email address.
the very quick story of the banner....thought went something like what can I get done in one hour? - 'ohhh um - how about I pick up the first book I come to and take a simple photo of it, that'll work...' - the book happened to be my father's high school dictionary (I didn't realise it at the time).... and as everywhere I went to try to take a clean shot was UUUUUGH I opened the book and shoved it on the nearest tree - the flowering ornamental plum just outside my kitchen...check out the entry on the top right corner - 'golden age'how cool (I didn't notice until I downloaded the pic.... that's a serendipitous moment I say)I think that bodes well for good vibes don't you?
Ronnie, that's a fabulous header. Thank you so much. "Golden age" conjures up so many thoughts, memories ...
